BUCS YACHT RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021
Following the latest Covid-19 government announcement BUSA this event has sadly been cancelled.
The 2021 Yachting Championships was planned to be held from 28th March - 1st April 2021 at Port Hamble, racing on Fairview Oceanis 37 yachts.
Teams representing UK universities, will consist of 8 crew (with at least 25% of the crew the opposite gender). The event incorporates a Qualifying Series, followed by a Championship Final and Trophy Final.

KEY ENTRY POINTS:
- Entry is limited to 15 boats. Places are allocated per uni, first come first serve – so be quick on entry!!
- Each team planning on entering this event must complete the Fairview Booking form and Skipper CV and send directly to Fairview for approval.
- After Fairview approval the charter fee and deposit must be paid by the team directly to Fairview by 1st Feburary 2021.
- BUCSPlay entry will open on 12th January for those teams who have had their yacht charter approved by Fairview and have paid for their yachts charter.
- BUCS Play entry deadline is 16th March, for BUCSPlay Stage 1 online entry.
- Entry fee (stage 1) per mixed team: £265.00
- Entry Charter fee per mixed team: £1909.00 (If Covid restrictions cause the event to be cancelled, Fairview Charters will provide account credit rather than a cash refund)
- Entry Charter deposit per mixed team: £3000.00
ARE YOU AN ELIGIBLE SKIPPER?
- Skipper CV must be completed along with booking form and sent to Fairview Yacht Charters.
- At least 2 team members must hold an RYA Day skipper Practical OR show equivalent Keelboat Racing Experience
- The skipper should aim to have at least 500nm of racing experience, however skippers without this can still submit a CV to Fairview who will make a case by case decision.
